WHAT LIES IN STORE

When I saw (on a FACEBOOK post of a friend of mine today) a link to a Reuters story reporting on a release of the President-elect about his plans for his first day in office, I opened the page with trepidation.

I've been disappointed, to say the least, in the first announcements about his closest advisors and Cabinet appointments.  So recalling his wild promises about deportations and THE WALL, Muslim bans and registries, tearing up the Iran nuclear agreement and jailing Hillary, I think I was justified in fearing the worst. Obviously his WWC, Evangelical, Conservative and Alt-right base base will be expecting red meat, I assumed, and if I know the President-elect,  he won't let them down.

Well, apparently I don't know him as well as I thought I did. Take five minutes to read the story and please let me have some of your reactions in the comments section below.

  1. I am all for scrapping the TPP, but Trump's plan to make America competitive in terms of manufacturing will be to remove the environmental regulations and wage laws that make American labor expensive.

Yes, in order to compete with third world countries, let's BECOME a third world country!

    Genius!

And he's going to fix public education by appointing Detroit's School Voucher Queen! That's right, Betsy DuVos, a BILLIONAIRE "education activist" who wants to hand out "vouchers" that parents can use to put their kids in private Christian schools. But only the parents who can afford to make up the difference between the voucher and the private school's tuition, all the really poor kids get to stay in the defunded schools which, in Detroit, are falling apart (literally).
